What are probiotics?

What are probiotics?

You may have heard the term "probiotic" but still don't know exactly what it is and how it helps us.

Probiotics are pro-life or good bacteria (pro-a favor, biotic-life) that help preserve a healthy environment in our digestive system and play an important role in our health.

What can harm probiotics?

Factors such as excessive ingest of sugar, alcohol, transgenic fats, intake of medications including antibiotics, contraceptives, antidepressants, chronic stress, environmental pollution, tobacco use, poor eating habits, poor quality of the products we consume.

What if i have too few probiotics?

These contribute to cause an unfavorable environment for probiotics allowing pathogenic (bad) bacteria to gain ground causing digestive symptoms such as inflammation, constipation, heartburn, reflux, poor digestion, in addition to significantly lowering the immune system leading to the development of diseases.

What are the benefits of probiotics

Probiotics provide multiple benefits such as:

✅  Improves digestion, avoiding irritability, gas, inflammation and constipation.

✅  Prevents frequent illnesses as they provide a better immune system.

✅ Reduces the negative effects of taking antibiotics. After a treatment we should ALWAYS colonize our body once again with probiotics.

✅  Facilitates the absorption of calcium, magnesium and all nutrients in general.

✅  May reduce symptoms of allergic diseases.

 ✅  Improves mood and concentration.

✅  Supports metabolic processes such as controlling cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood.

✅  Prevents the intestine from absorbing toxins by eliminating them through feces.

This is why in plain 21st century we throwback to what Hippocrates once said:

“All disease begins in the gut”

A healthier and simpler alternative to contribute to intestinal wellness and therefore prevent diseases is the consumption of probiotics and a change in lifestyle that allows you to maintain a healthy digestive system is also recommended.
